Governor for zero tolerance towards lawlessness
Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar has said that lawlessness at the Punjab University campus will not be tolerated at all and strict action would be taken against the delinquent law breakers.Punjab Governor who is also the Chancellor of the PU telephoned Punjab University vice-chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran on Sunday and directed to maintain peaceful environment at the campus and provide protection to students as well as the teachers.
PU Spokesperson stated that PU Chancellor Ch Muhammad Sarwar has said that there would be no compromise over respect of teachers and no pressure would be succumbed in this regard.
He said that PU VC Dr Mujahid Kamran expressed his gratitude to the Governor/Chancellor PU for taking strict notice of the incident and providing protection to the teachers
